3 Songs For A Saturday Cruise | Luther Automotive Group

Listening to tunes is a mainstay of driving. You’re in the car, so you flip on some tunes. Music and driving go together like peas in a pod. But if you’ve run out of music to listen to, you’re drives may have become a bit more stagnant as of late. Like we always are, Luther Automotive Group is here to help. Below you’ll find some great music for driving, because driving without tunes just isn’t fun.

Cruisin’ - Huey Lewis and the News. This song is about cruising, and everybody loves a good duet. Originally performed by the great Smokey Robinson, “Cruisin’” is the epitome of driving music (as hinted at in the title). We like the Huey Lewis and Gwyneth Paltrow version made famous from the 2000 film “Duets.” The steady beat and groovy bass line make for great drive time jams. This song gets a few extra points for being fun to sing along with!

Up On Cripple Creek - The Band. One of the greatest American musical acts of all time, the Band excelled at creating catchy and rhythmic songs that you just can’t help tap your foot to. The Band is a conglomeration of several genres running together to make some good, old-fashioned rock and roll.

Powerman - The Kinks. The Kinks never seem to get the credit they deserve. Help give the Kinks more recognition with this throwback hit. Powerman is full of catchy guitar riffs and a steady drum beat. This song gets us pretty excited, and makes us feel cool (which is what you want when the windows are rolled down). Cruise along with this classic rock hit.
