Ambassador of the Year Toni Luetjen from Toyota NWA

Luetjen is the Director of Marketing for Landers and is responsible for all business development activities in northwest Arkansas. She is an ambassador for the Chamber of Commerce for Rogers/Lowell, Arkansas, Bentonville, Arkansas, and Springdale, Arkansas.

Luetjen was presented with Springdale’s Ambassador of the Year award at their annual meeting in front of 800 attendees. The Rogers Lowell Chamber honored her at their Board of Director Meeting.

One ambassador is selected each year based on who attends the most events during the year. Luetjen earned the most points out of about 50 other ambassadors in each chamber. Ambassadors attend a variety of events, including ribbon cuttings, business events and groundbreaking events. Luetjen attends 250-300 of these events per year between three chambers.

At these events, Luetjen will hand out her Landers business card to bring business back to her dealership. She started pairing up sales associates with the guests based on personalities or skills. A guest once brought their mother whose first language was Spanish, so Luetjen set them up with a bilingual Sales Associate. She has also implemented a program so Sales Associates immediately connect with the guests and find out their vehicle preferences to be more efficient. “This has proven to save everyone time and they love it!” said Luetjen.

Luetjen’s favorite part about being an ambassador is learning what new businesses are coming to town. “I love to refer people to these businesses and help them get the word out that they are in town and what they have to offer!” said Luetjen. “When you help promote other businesses, it comes back to you tenfold.”
