Bloomington Acura TikTok Influencers
Allison Gast and Ilenna Garcia, two sales associates from Bloomington Acura, have found a new way to reach guests. The two have created a TikTok account, @JaminLuxe, and creates trending videos about the car business. “I started seeing funny videos from businesses and I immediately wanted to buy from them. It’s like I knew and trusted them already because I saw their personality online and I thought ‘why don’t I start something like that?” Gast said.
They currently have around 360 followers but are continually growing. They had one video that got more than 400,000 views. It was based on a trend dealerships across the U.S. are using. It asks staff what kind of car they drive and what their car payment is.
“When I see sounds and trends on my For You Page, I ask myself ‘how can I relate that to the car business?’ Gast said. She will even ask herself that question when looking at trends or sounds you wouldn’t think could be applied to the car business, like cat videos.
Gast and Garcia created their account at the beginning of 2024 and have already drawn in a few clients because of it. “You need to be on social media. You need to be online,” Gast said. Drawing in just two guests in a few months shows that social media could be the next way to sell cars, even if it is just having guests know more about you before they decide to buy a car from you in store.
For people wanting to start posting on TikTok or social media in general, she shared some tips:
- Use popular trends, sounds and hashtags
- Post at least every day when you first start
- Provide information quickly. “If you don’t get the person’sattention in five seconds, they’re going to scroll away.”
- Have a good camera person to help you that understands your vision and knows your preferences and best angles
- “Be genuine, people can read fake energy through a screen.”
