Adam Dietz Announced as Genesis General Manager

Dietz has worked in a variety of positions at Luther over his ten years here, most recently as the General Sales Manager at Brookdale Mazda Mitsubishi, as well as their Used Car and New Car Manager. Adam Kretsch, General Manager, invested in Dietz’s development and supported his growth by attending the Luther Leadership Academy in 2023.

Dietz started as a detail and service runner at White Bear Acura Subaru, then moved into sales at an outside dealership. He returned to Luther as the Finance Manager at Hopkins Honda. He accredits a lot of who he is to Kyle Allison, the previous General Manager at Hopkins Honda, who retired at the end of 2023. “Kyle was awesome. He texted me right away to congratulate me on the GM position. He was one of the biggest supporters and believers in me, I would not be what I am today without him.”

Not many General Managers can say they built a team from scratch and start in a brand-new building. “I have a unique opportunity to hire my own staff. It’s rare that anybody can start from zero to hire everybody. It’s fun, in a way, because you get to find the right people,” said Dietz. “The new building is going to be beautiful. Who doesn’t like brand-new buildings? It’s going to be gorgeous inside and outside, everything is top-notch.”

The dealership is set to open in 2024 with a grand opening later on. “I look forward to having my team and watching everyone succeed and grow the business,” said Dietz. “This is a new brand so there will be some challenges with it but it’s an exciting opportunity to get to grow the business and the brand.”
