Lee’s Summit Mazda Revamp is Mazda’s 300th Remodel

Lee’s Summit Mazda completed an extensive six month renovations in May. The showroom, waiting areas, service and service drive, accounting offices, conference rooms, retail parts space and the building exterior were all remodeled. Both service and sales teams worked out of trailers while renovations were completed.

The Lee’s Summit Mazda renovation was a part of a larger initiative Mazda launched in 2014, called The Retail Evolution dealership design program. The objective of this initiative was for dealerships to ultimately make Mazda customers feel more at home through an open concept feel. Lee’s Summit Mazda became the 300th dealership to complete renovations in this program.

“There is a lot of glass throughout the dealership to create a transparent view into dealership operations, giving them the feel that there is nothing in the process that isn’t fully transparent,” said Derek Goshien, Lee’s Summit Mazda General Manager. “In terms of amenaties, we offer waiting guests a beverage counter, comfortable seating, a separate “quiet lounge”, free wi-fi, and mobile charging stations.”

The design is meant to be an open concept, with a gallery feel that showcases the vehicles. The additional amenities for guests will elevate their experience consistently across all Mazda dealerships.

“In today’s market, you must give your guests what they want, and Retail Evolution provides exactly that — a more transparent, open, and modern environment,” David Luther said in a Mazda press release.

“Our entire staff and all of our guests are so excited about the new building.” Goshien concluded.
